Bridges Family Reunion

Born February 24, 1921, in Earl, North Carolina. She is the eighth child of Joseph and Senora Thompson Bridges.

Working hard on the farm and attending Green Bethel, she still had time to play basketball after school. Her team won the state tournament in 1940. She graduated from green Bethel High school n 1943. The 12th grade was aded to the curriculum while she was a junior in 1942.

She went on to La-Mae Beaith College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She received her diploma April 30, 1945, in Cosmetology, Haordressing, and Manicurring. Her goal was to establish her own beauty salon.

She was happily marrried over 40 years to Price A. Webber, Sr. until his death October 2, 1986. To this union four children were born:

            Laura Carol            Calvine                     Price Allen                  Wade

She worked at Radiator Specialty Company as a stock clerk in the plumbing division for 21 years until her retirement in 1983. She enjoys gardening, sewing, walking, cooking, and visiting family members with her brother, Furman. She also loves spending time with her five grandchildren: Carol, Lynn, Erin, Darien, and Bryton.

She is a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she sings on the Hymn Choir. She is active with the church senior citizens group.
