Senora and her sisters
Born October 27, 1891 in CHerokee County, South Carolina to the union f Harry and Mary Robbins Thompson.
She grew up in the Hopewell Community below Blacksburg, South Carolina as the third of ten children. Her early schooling was received at the Crucketgum School near Blacksburg. She was proud of having finished the sixth grade and being promoted to the seventh.
Senora married Joe S. Bridges in 1910 and to this union was born the following:
Dewood Jessie Furman Senora
Esther Winifred Jon Junior Pauline
V. Ester Eddie Robert Franklin
FGarland Aileen William
She was a caring woman who influenced people wiht her serious manner and Christiam beliefs. She was known throughout the community as a loving and very sucessful mother. In later life, she embraced a generation of grandchildren with unlimited energy and encouraged them to believe in themselves and work hard to achieve in life.
Senora was a faithful member of the Washington Baptist Church in the Waco Community where she served on the Deaconess Board and was a respected member of the Liza Roberts Missonary Group #3. At age 88, she was elected Mother of the Year by Missonary Group in 1979.
For 63 years, she was a loyal and loving companion to ther husband Joe and supported his eforts to gain independence and make a good life for the family. She parted this life on APril 28, 181 just before witnessing the tenth anniversary of the Joe and Senora Bridges Family Reunion held in her loving memory.
